2018// INSTALLATION. 서울특별시 BALANCE captures the minimalist character of the vibrant city of Seoul. The fast moving, ever-changing constellations and formations of the sleepless city are symbolically visualised by using the mobile as a medium. Impressions as well as collected objects and colours are presented in certain thematic areas that are characteristic for the city – such as work-life balance, 24/7, beauty, identity, electrosmog, material cycles – and are finally balanced as a unit. As an integrated part of the installation, the observer creates an airflow with his presence, which sets the mobile in motion. Thus the unobtrusive balancing act invites to pause and focus for a moment.
